Creating my sons baby room

I love Design, it is my passion in life. I am currently at a place in life, where I am on a tight budget. I pretty much have always been on a tight budget. That's most likely where the creativeness and craftiness came from. I wanted to create a very special and fun environment for my son. It needed to be happy, comforting, and fun. With that said, I had to buy all new stuff, but I encorporated new furniture, hand-me-downs,  and used accessories.

I painted the room myself, and picked out the colors from Home Depot. Made sure they were non VOC.

I got the fur rug from "Ikea", and the crib is from "Target." The Letters of his name are from "Hobby Lobby" in Denver.

 

I got the wallcovering from "Michaels"

The picture frames on the wall I found at thrift store. I got them for $2 each, they were pottery barn. The bumper Set was from "Children's Orchard" in Fountain Valley. It's a recycled baby store, and I got it for like $35. It was a total last minute find! I wanted so badly to buy this amazing crib set on buybuybaby.com but it was just too much. The corner shelves I got from the used baby store too, their were 2 and I got them both for $8. The ceiling pendant I got from Ikea for about $20. The Glider, bookshelf, and wall mount were my husband's when he was a boy. My mother in law had held on to them all these years! God bless her.

 

 

 

I am probably border line OCD, I love organization. I should probably take it easy sometimes. We have this huge closet in Pau'ls room, and so I decided to just buy a dresser (its Ikea $60). I got a bunch of different hanging shelves. I think one of them is actually for adult shoes, and the other are for clothes. They are so wonderful. Baby's come with LOTS of stuff. Just random stuff. So, they really help keep things in order and handy.

 

The changing table is from Target and the drapes are Ikea.
