Healthy Candied Pecans
Ingredients:
2 cups chopped pecans
1/2 cup palm sugar or maple syrup
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
(optional) dash nutmeg or allspice
Directions:
1. Chop your nuts. Then heat your pan to medium or
medium high heat.
2. Coat pan with a little bit of Coconut Oil or Coconut Oil Spray, to prevent sticking
3. Add all ingredients
4. Stir, stir, stir. Don't stop stirring!!! If you do- you will have
burnt nuts!
5. You will see the sugar begin to melt, keep scraping it off your pan
with a spatula and turn them over and over. Do this
until all the sugar is melted and the nuts are evenly coated, then turn them
out onto a piece of foil or wax paper. Let them cool in a single layer then add
them to you salad!
