Date Night-La Sirena Grill

My hubby and I got a chance to get away again the other night. Can you believe it? I know. (:  We headed to Laguna Beach to try out this Sushi restaurant called O Fine Japanese Sushi. We had no reservation....we're too spontaneous or busy it gets the best of us. There was a wait, so we decided to head next door to this unknown restaurant for a drink during our wait. There was no sign (turns out they were having a labeling dilemma with the city). It was called La Sirena Grill. It's across the street from the Montage Resort. What an AMAZING perfect little gem. I have been trying to only dine out at restaurants that are GMO free, and organic. To my delighted surprise this was the bomb! Turns out this place has been around for like 10 years....wow...I feel so stupid not being aware. This awesome place was here the whole time and I didn't know.

Anyway, we had just ordered some chips, salsa, and guacamole. The CHIPS-GMO free, and home made. Amazing right??? The salsa and guac, were awesome. They serve local beer and home made margaritas. Their margaritas are all natural. Homemade sweet and sour. They are AMAZING! NO JOKE.

 

We decided to stay here for dinner. How can I not support a restaurant with such great values? We vote with our dollars people!! I ordered the special. It was "kale prosciutto salad", with melon and asparagus. Talk about melt in your mouth. SO GOOD. I did get the special margarita of the day which was some kind of watermelon blend.

 

 

 

I really enjoyed this spot. We sat at the bar. We're kind of notorious for this. My husband says because he likes to sit close to me, and not across from me. It is more on the casual side, but great for lunch and dinner for sure. Or, just a great spot to grab drinks with your friends.

 

I will continue to come here! It is so hard to find a restaurant that has GMO free food. There food was amazing, without breaking the bank.
